An AI document assistant that worked inside WhatsApp. Send a document, ask for a summary, an edit or some research, and get the answer back in the same thread. Shipped before WhatsApp had AI built in.

The problem
Getting real work done with AI used to mean opening a laptop, a browser and a new tab. For a lot of people, the place they actually spend their day is a messaging app.
The question was simple: what if you could send a document to an assistant the same way you send it to a colleague, and get the work back in the same chat?
What we built
We built PocketAI as a WhatsApp assistant.
- Send a document into the chat and ask for a summary, an edit, or research on it.
- The answer comes back in the same thread, with no new app to learn.
- Access runs on a subscription, handled end to end.
It shipped before WhatsApp had its own built-in AI assistant.
The result
PocketAI has since grown into a standalone AI assistant product at pocketai.app, with a wider feature library covering writing, summarising, planning and problem solving.
For us it was early proof of something we still believe: AI features earn their place when they fit into a workflow people already have, rather than asking them to adopt a new one.
